- I'd like to believe him. I really would, because it was a great story. But I don't. And that's kind of what it's come to in sports nowadays. No one gets the benefit of the doubt anymore--that's just the way it is.

- The more I read about the situation in Toronto, the more I'm surprised that they've managed to play as well as they have this season. It sounds like the kind of team chemistry you'd expect from a club that's 11 games under .500, not 11 games over.
